The Head of State argued that it is time to listen to all citizens of the country, not only those who reside in major cities but also those who do not have basic services and demand the right to a high-quality education.
"Within this framework, we believe it is important that in any case Congress must ensure that people's clamor is accepted," he remarked.
The top official welcomed the stance of many lawmakers who have expressed their support for the initiative by the Executive Branch so that citizens exercise their right to be consulted on the Constituent Assembly in October 2022 during the regional and municipal elections.

"The VRAEM is not a problem; it's a possibility, and I think the opportunity has arrived for this important and productive area," he said.
Along these lines, Mr. Castillo reiterated his call on the business community to invest in provinces and areas such as the VRAEM, with the aim of generating development opportunities and closing social gaps.
