Peru President arrives at Congress to deliver Independence Day speech

President Martin Vizcarra has arrived at Parliament headquarters to deliver his Address to the Nation on the occasion of National Day celebrations.

Upon arrival, the Peruvian leader was welcomed with high honors by the Armed Forces.

As is known, Peru celebrates today the 197th anniversary of its Independence from Spain.

Within this framework, the Head of State will address the main measures implemented by his administration during its first four months in office.

His speech will include key announcements for the coming year exercising power.

Previously, President Vizcarra attended Mass and Te Deum along with First Lady Maribel Diaz, State ministers, and high-ranking authorities.
