Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra has landed in Brasilia, Brazil to participate in President-elect
Jair Bolsonaro's inauguration ceremony.
The dignitary arrived on Monday accompanied by Peru's First Lady Maribel Diaz.
During his absence, Peru's Vice-President Mercedes Araoz will take over the presidential office.
"We have to get along well with Brazil, a neighbor of ours with which we share the longest border. We need an adequate foreign policy. To that end, we will head to that country and respect the population's decision to opt for a right-wing ideological orientation," he stated.
