Peru congratulated the people and Government of Brazil for the democratic election on Sunday, October 7.
In
a statement, the Inca country's Foreign Affairs Ministry said the event reflected the deeply-held conviction that democratic values are important for development.
"The Government of Peru congratulates the people and Government of Brazil for the democratic process at the general election held yesterday in the neighboring country," the pronouncement reads.
