Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra has announced he will hold a
meeting with Congress Chairman Pedro Olaechea at the Government Palace.
According to the Head of State, the conversation should be carried out transparently and in accordance with the corresponding instances.
"I have welcomed Congress' chairmen during my term in office as President of the Republic. I will welcome Olaechea, here, whenever he wants," the top official told Semana Economica Magazine.
Parliament Chairman Olaechea asked President Vizcarra to set the date and time for
dialogue and proposed to meet at San Francisco Church, which is halfway between the Legislative and Executive Branches' headquarters.
On his part, Prime Minister Salvador del Solar hailed the suggested meeting, adding he is sure both powers will set a date soon.
