The President of the Republic Martin Vizcarra on Tuesday affirmed that the 6.8 million households, which are beneficiaries of the Universal Family Bonus, will have received the payment of S/760 (about US$223) by June 15.

"For this month of May, we plan to deliver the bonus to 5 million families," he expressed.

The Head of State added that the remaining 1.8 million households will be completely served thru mid-June.

The top official stressed that said effort will demand a social spending worth S/4 billion (about US$1.174 billion).

"Thanks to this transfer, we intend that families have the necessary resources to face the pandemic," he stated.

The statesman indicated that the second delivery will be completed in a faster way.

"The first part of S/380 (about US$111.5) was delivered in 45 days, but experience was gained to enhance this delivery process," he concluded.

On this occasion, the President was joined by members of the Council of Ministers. The event was held at the Government Palace in Lima.
