Peru: PM receives pediatric COVID-19 vaccines

Prime Minister Anibal Torres participated in the ceremony marking the arrival of 624,000 pediatric doses of the COVID-19 vaccine in Callao region on Friday evening.

These doses will be distributed in the coming days so as to continue the vaccination campaign for children aged 5 to 11 years at the national level.

"l call on all Peruvians to get vaccinated; people have to be convinced that the vaccine is the only preventive means to avoid disastrous endings," Torres told reporters.

Likewise, the high-ranking official reported that the immunization of boys and girls under 5 years of age is being assessed, adding that the Cabinet will report on the matter in the coming weeks.



On this occasion, the Cabinet chief was joined by Ministers Oscar Graham (Economy-Finance), Carlos Palacios (Energy-Mines), and Deputy Public Health Minister Oscar Rosell.
