Prime Minister Salvador del Solar on Monday affirmed the National Agreement provides an invaluable contribution to the challenge of regaining trust among Peruvians.
"The country needs to overcome this climate of verbal violence that has been ingrained among us and which is difficult for us to move away from. This is why it is necessary that forums such as the National Agreement endure over time," the high-ranking official expressed.
In this sense, the cabinet chief noted this event offers a space that not only has been used for
listening to diverse voices, but also for including policies that result from the consensus on the country's institutional life.
Remarks were made during the inauguration of the National Agreement Forum, in which Peru's Vision by 2050 was presented.
The meeting was also attended by President Martin Vizcarra and other State members.
The National Agreement is the set of State policies elaborated and approved on the basis of dialogue and consensus, after a process of workshops and consultations at the national level, in order to define a course for sustainable development in Peru and affirm its democratic governance.
