Peru PM leads meeting of Multisectoral Commission against COVID-19

The President of the Council of Ministers Vicente Zeballos on Thursday led a new meeting of the High-Level Multisectoral Commission against Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The purpose of the meeting was to coordinate actions in the face of the extension of the national state of emergency aimed at combating the pandemic.

Last Wednesday, the Peruvian Government extended —until April 26— the health emergency, which includes social distancing, compulsory social immobilization, and total immobilization on Sundays.

The event was attended by Ministers Víctor Zamora (Health), Carlos Morán (Interior), Gloria Montenegro (Women-Vulnerable Populations), and Fernando Castañeda (Justice-Human Rights), among others.
