Prime Minister Cesar Villanueva on Wednesday defended the government's dialogue policy implemented with all political groups and highlighted President Martin Vizcarra's administration will prove this approach is the best to resolve disputes.
Within this framework, Villanueva ruled out this administration seeks to engage in
dialogue "just to stay on good terms" with all
political parties.
"They say this administration talks a lot to get along with everyone (...)," the official said after a Council of Ministers session, held at Lima-based Government Palace.
"We are going to prove an
open-to-dialogue government is stronger to resolve the conflicts we had faced within the agriculture and mining sectors (...)," he added.
"However, it is still early to see the important results, which we have started to achieve," he pointed out.
According to the Cabinet chief, political noise prevents citizens from knowing these figures in detail.
"We will be progressively informing about these results," he concluded.
