Colca Valley's tourist attractions —such as Condor's Cross Viewpoint, religious architecture, culture, and other natural locations— welcomed 63,541 visitors in the first four months of 2019, the Colca Autonomous Authority (Autocolca) has informed Thursday.
For that reason, tourism —on a regional and national level— will be promoted.
Geopark
Likewise, Autocolca expects the recent designation of
Colca and Andagua Volcanoes as UNESCO Geopark, and its inclusion to the Global Geoparks Network, will motivate more tourists to visit Colca so they can take a look at the volcanic chain, valleys, and biodiversity.
It should be noted this is the first geopark in the Inca country.
