Peru: New Ministerial Cabinet sworn in

21:00 | Lima, Feb. 8.

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Tuesday evening administered the oath of office to members of the new Cabinet led by Anibal Torres Vasquez, who replaces Hector Valer in the post.

The new Cabinet is made up of:

- Cesar Rodrigo Landa Arroyo (Foreign Affairs)*

- Jose Luis Gavidia Arrascue (Defense)*

- Oscar Miguel Graham Yamahuchi (Economy and Finance)*

- Alfonso Gilberto Chavarry Estrada (Interior)*

- Angel Fernando Yldefonso Narro (Justice and Human Rights)

- Rosendo Leoncio Serna Roman (Education)*

- Hernan Yuri Condori Machado (Health)

- Oscar Zea Choquechambi (Agrarian Development and Irrigation)

- Betssy Betzabet Chavez Chino (Labor and Employment Promotion)*

- Jorge Luis Prado Palomino (Production)*

- Roberto Helbert Sanchez Palomino (Foreign Trade and Tourism)*

- Carlos Sabino Palacios Perez (Energy and Mines)

- Juan Francisco Silva Villegas (Transportation and Communications)*

- Geiner Alvarado Lopez (Housing, Construction, and Sanitation)*

- Diana Mirian Miloslavich Tupac (Women and Vulnerable Populations)

- Modesto Edilberto Montoya Zavaleta (Environment)

- Alejandro Antonio Salas Zegarra (Culture)*

- Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra (Development and Social Inclusion)*

*Twelve ministers from the previous Cabinet remain in their positions.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Government Palace in Lima.
