President Martin Vizcarra on Thursday administered the oath of office to members of a
Starting today, the former Defense minister will head the Cabinet.
The new ministers sworn in today are: Jorge Chavez (Defense), Rosario Sasieta (Women-Vulnerable Populations), Javier Palacios (Labor-Employment Promotion), and Luis Miguel Inchaustegui (Energy-Mines).
The following high-ranking officials will hold their positions:
Maria Antonieta Alva (Economy-Finance), Martin Benavides (Education),
Jorge Montenegro (Agriculture-Irrigation),
Alejandro Neyra (Culture),
Mario Lopez (Foreign Affairs), Jorge Montoya (Interior),
Pilar Mazzetti (Health), Jose Antonio Salardi (Production), Kirla Echegaray (Environment), Carlos Estremadoyro (Transport-Communications), Ana Cristina Neyra (Justice-Human Rights), Rocio Barrios (Foreign Trade-Tourism), Carlos Lozada (Housing-Construction-Sanitation), and Patricia Donayre (Development-Social Inclusion).
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Government Palace in Lima.
