Peru: Manufacturing, mining sector jobs to be boosted over next months

Peru's mining and manufacturing industries plan to hire a greater number of employees during the third quarter of 2019, ManpowerGroup's Employment Outlook Survey for the aforementioned period has revealed.

In this sense, the study informed mining sector employers have expressed their current optimism to continue hiring more personnel during the next three months. 

Thus, the mining sphere's net employment outlook reached 21%, a 9% rise compared to the second quarter of this year, and a 17% increase compared to the same period in 2018. 

Likewise, ManpowerGroup's results matched the positive forecasts of the Inca country's Energy and Mines Ministry (MEM), which expects an encouraging climate thanks to mining investments, as these have expanded 31.2% between January and April 2019. 

Payroll 

According to the survey, employers from the manufacturing sector are expected to maintain and renew their payrolls in the next three months. 

Therefore, the net outlook for the manufacturing industry reached 19%, a 6% rise compared to the previous quarter, and a 17% expansion compared to the same period last year. 

Other sectors 

Furthermore, the study pointed out the net outlooks for agricultural and fishing; services; and trade sectors stood at 17%; 12%; and 6%; respectively.
