Peru: Health Min delivers personal protective equipment for health workers in Ancash

Peru's Health Minister Victor Zamora delivered 17 tons of personal protective equipment for health workers who are fighting the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on the frontline, during his visit to Ancash region.


"We are protecting our caregivers as part of Health Unites Us, our national plan to fight the pandemic," he said after making the delivery.

During the activity, the health sector's head was accompanied by Education Minister Martin Benavides.



Via Twitter, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) highlighted the joint work of authorities to coordinate efforts against COVID-19.

During his working visit to northern Ancash region, Zamora toured Hospital No. III of Chimbote, which has 88 COVID-19 patients and a capacity for 120 beds.
