Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Edgar Vasquez has informed that his office —through Peru's Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru)— leads efforts to boost the Inca nation's image, as the country welcomes the arrival of thousands of foreign tourists for Copa Libertadores' final match.

Within this framework, he noted, promotional packages to Lima have been launched through strategic alliances with LATAM airlines, as well as with tour operators based in Brazil and in Argentina.

In addition, the mini-site peru.travel/lafinalenlima was created. It features tourist information about our capital, short routes, and gastronomy, among others.

PromPeru spreads information about national tourist destinations across the Latin American market on the occasion of the coming sporting event.

The Mincetur head explained that the guilds —led by the National Chamber of Tourism (Canatur)— currently offer travel packages to the Inca country's main destinations, so that visitors —who arrive to support their teams— are able to extend their stay and get to know Peru.

Furthermore, Minister Vasquez said Mincetur —through PromPeru— will inaugurate a Casa Peru soon to present visitors with an exhibition of our country through cultural shows and food tasting sessions.

The site will be open until November 22 at Domos Art in Lima's San Miguel district. The Conmebol Fan Zone will be located in the same area.

Casa Peru is a strategy developed by PromPeru that has been successfully implemented during important international events, such as at the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia or the Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games.

In that sense, he projected the Marca Peru (Peru Brand) will show off in all the aforementioned events and also serve to disseminate content about the country —along with Conmebol— via social networks and media outlets.
