Peru's national soccer team on Thursday held its first training session in Austria, prior to its last two pre-World Cup friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Sweden.

On the occasion, athletes performed stretching exercises at the Loewen Hotel Montafon in Schruns.

These workouts helped the players to recover from the long journey they had.

As is known, the red-white team traveled from Lima (Peru) to Zurich (Switzerland) last Wednesday. After arrival, the delegation took a bus to Schruns, where they will stay thru this weekend.

On Sunday, the Incas will head to the Swiss city of St. Gallen to face Saudi Arabia in a friendly match scheduled to kick off at 7:00 PM (local time).

Following this clash, the national squad will return to Austria to resume training sessions.

Peruvians will play their last friendly match against Sweden in Gothenburg on June 9 at 6:15 PM (local time).

Likewise, the delegation is expected to arrive in Moscow on June 10 to participate in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia.

Before its debut takes place, the Inca team —led by coach Ricardo Gareca— is scheduled to hold five additional training sessions.
