During the meeting held on Tuesday, the Cabinet member highlighted the strategic importance of this relationship for the development of both countries.
Likewise, he reaffirmed Peru's full willingness to schedule the main bilateral coordination mechanisms on political affairs, security, and irregular migration.
These coordination efforts are part of the preparations for the upcoming Presidential Meeting and the 5th Binational Cabinet, scheduled for the second half of January 2027 in Peru.
Similarly, Minister Espa emphasized the complementary nature of both countries' economies.
In this regard, both authorities agreed on the need to invigorate economic and trade relations and promote reciprocal investments aimed at consolidating integration, joint development, and the well-being of the Peruvian and Chilean peoples.

Minister Espa met with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Peru, Ibrahim Alalawi, with whom he discussed prospects for continuing to strengthen bilateral relations.
During the meeting, the officials discussed opportunities to increase Emirati investment in Peru, as well as expand cooperation in areas such as finance, defense, and digital government.
They also agreed to continue identifying new opportunities for cooperation and investment that contribute to deepening bilateral relations.
Moreover, they discussed the possibility of receiving support from the UAE for projects related to the provision of drinking water, as part of preventive measures against El Niño phenomenon.
