Remarks were made at a meeting with representatives from other sectors of the Executive Branch, as reported by the Foreign Affairs Ministry on its X account.
The government agency stated that the migration situation was addressed by Minister De Zela as part of a meeting with representatives from the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM), as well as the Deputy Ministers of Defense and Interior.
Representatives of the Peruvian National Police (PNP) also took part in the session held within the framework of measures stipulated by the Presidency of the Republic.
The migration situation in Peru's southern border region was also assessed by President Jose Jeri during his visit to Tacna last weekend, with the aim of ensuring that our border serves as the first line of defense against international crime.
During his visit, President Jeri was accompanied by Ministers Cesar Diaz (Defense) and Vicente Tiburcio (Interior), as well as by Tacna Region Governor Luis Torres Robledo.
