Peru's Foreign Affairs Minister Nestor Popolizio and
Andean Community (CAN) General Secretary Jorge Pedraza met on Friday to arrange the next Andean Presidential Council.
The Council meeting will take place this year within the framework of the subregional organization's 50th-anniversary celebration.
During the work meeting at Torre Tagle Palace —the seat of Peru's Foreign Affairs Ministry— the authorities discussed the different activities along the year as part of the "CAN 50-year anniversary" plan.
Likewise, they addressed the future work of the
Andean Community and the topics to be prioritized in benefit of 110 million Andean citizens from Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru —CAN member countries.
Other meetings
Additionally, he met with Andean Court of Justice Head Hugo Gomez and Apostolic Nuncio to Peru Monsignor Nicola Girasoli, to whom he gave information about CAN's progress, achievements, and challenges.
