Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Gustavo Meza-Cuadra met with various local authorities in the northern city of Tumbes on Tuesday to discuss issues related to development, environmental care, disaster risk prevention, and improvements on border control.
As part of his work agenda, the cabinet member held an audience with Region Governor Wilmer Dios, provincial and district mayors, as well as military, police, immigration, customs, health, and tourism authorities.
In addition, he met with representatives of humanitarian organizations.
Minister Meza-Cuadra also visited the Binational Border Attention Center (CEBAF) —the main border point in the north of the country.
