Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Nestor Popolizio on Tuesday called for the renewal of support for Venezuelan Interim President Juan Guaido and for the commitment to restoring democracy in the Bolivarian Nation.

"I urge all nations, which are part of the Rome Statute, to join us and boost this complaint, so it can be assessed as soon as possible by the Court," Popolizio expressed.

Likewise, the minister indicated it is urgent to find a peaceful solution for Venezuela, in accordance with its constitutional law, and that it should be led by the Bolivarian nation's citizens.

Remarks were made during a previous meeting with 44 countries that support Guaido.

The International Conference for Democracy in Venezuela currently takes place in Lima, with the participation of approximately 60 nations, including France, the United States, Germany, Canada, Japan, and the United Kingdom.
