Peruvian exports showed a recovery in March this year following two months of decline, Deputy Foreign Trade Minister Diana Bayona reported Thursday.
January and February results were mainly due to a slump in metal prices as well as to internal factors that impacted on the Inca country's shipments.
"Problems with farmers and the blockage of access routes were reported in the first two months. All this affected the performance of exports in this period," she said.
However, Bayona affirmed these problems have already been solved, which will result in a recovery of Peruvian sales.
This report is a joint effort between the
Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) and the
OECD through its Latin America and the Caribbean Regional Programme (LACRP), in co-operation with the Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA) and the "Foundation for the Strategic Analysis and Development of the SME" (FAEDPYME).
