08:33 | Busan (South Korea), Jun. 16.
Peru's national soccer team defeated its South Korean counterpart 1-0 in a friendly match held at Busan Asiad Stadium in Busan.
Peru's Bryan Reyna scored the only goal of the game in the 11th minute.
It was a left footed shot from the center of the box to the bottom right corner, assisted by Paolo Guerrero, who was brought back to the national team as the captain.
Reyna was one of the best players in the Peruvian side, which, under the guidance of
coach Juan Reynoso, has shown its best version.
Guerrero also showed that he could be a great contribution to Peru in the qualification process for the
2026 FIFA World Cup hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada.
For his part, Peru's goalkeeper Pedro Gallese managed to save a few shots from South Korea.
The South Korea-Japan trip will serve as a preparation ahead of the South American qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will start in September.
