said Monday that the Foreign Affairs Ministry will ensure the Peruvian State serves citizens and contributes to national reconciliation.
After being introduced by President-elect Keiko Fujimori as the next Foreign Affairs Minister, Espá thanked her for the opportunity and emphasized his commitment to working toward two major objectives.
"First, to put the State at the service of citizens, especially the most vulnerable, and second, to contribute to the reconciliation of all Peruvians," he continued.
Espá emphasized that the Foreign Affairs Ministry has a very important role to play for Peruvians residing both in the country and abroad by putting the Peruvian State at the service of fellow citizens.
"In that regard, I am very excited and very pleased, Madam President, for this excellent opportunity; I will give my utmost effort to serve with austerity, discipline, and hard work," he expressed.
