Regarding Cusco, the southern Peruvian region might have already regained pre-pandemic figure.
According to reports, the southern city's Velasco Astete International Airport might have registered a 3% increase in tourist arrivals.
"Tourism is one of the industries that has been hit hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic; yet it remains a resilient economic activity; despite enduring significant challenges due to the pandemic and social conflicts, it is recovering," she told TVPeru.
"Beyond the ministerial meetings, there are also bilateral meetings where we convey the concerns we have as a country regarding tourism," she indicated.
