Peruvian Congress on Wednesday approved a legislative resolution authorizing President Martin Vizcarra's state visits to Portugal and Spain.

The Head of State will be overseas from February 24 to March 3, 2019.

According to the document, the top official will visit Portugal on February 25-26. There, he will hold meetings with his Portuguese counterpart Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, Prime Minister Antonio Costa, as well as other high-ranking authorities.

Likewise, the statesman will participate in a business forum —in which the Inca country will be the central theme— in order to promote Peru as a destination for investment, tourist, and cultural opportunities.

Spain

On the other hand, President Vizcarra will travel to Spain on February 27 thru March 1.

The Head of State will meet with King Felipe VI and Madrid Mayor Manuela Carmena, who will participate in the inauguration of ARCOmadrid 2019.

Furthermore, he will hold a meeting with Spanish President Pedro Sanchez and other high-ranking officials.

In addition, an investment roadshow —organized by InPeru— will be inaugurated. This event is directed to executives of the Spanish Confederation of Employers' Organizations (CEOE). Plus, its goal is to boost the Inca country's image as an attractive destination for foreign investments.
