Peruvian Congress has authorized President Martin Vizcarra's trip to Mexico, where he will attend the inauguration ceremony of President-elect Andres Lopez Obrador.
The
Peruvian leader will be outside of the Inca country from November 30 to December 1.
The legislative resolution authorizing his journey was approved with 65 votes in favor, none opposed, and no abstentions.
Mexico's President-elect
Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador —the candidate of a three-party coalition led by National Regeneration Movement party (Morena)— garnered more than 50% of the votes in the latest presidential elections in Mexico.
