Peru: Citizens march through streets of Lima

Civil and social groups held a march on Wednesday, at which they called for peace and tranquility so that economic activities can develop as usual.

The participants began their event on Avenida De la Peruanidad, in Lima's Jesus Maria district, and reached the Palace of Justice in downtown Lima.

Supported by harangues, carrying banners, and wearing t-shirts designed for the occasion, its members demanded that they be allowed to work uninterruptedly.

The group was made up of traders, athletes, market workers, who expressed their support for the Peruvian National Police (PNP) so that it guarantees public order.
