Within the framework of the inauguration of the High-Level Political Dialogue Mechanism between Peru and the United States, which covers collaborative axes in various areas, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell met with Peru's Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Peter Camino to address matters of common interest.

The ceremony was held at the U.S. State Department offices in Washington, D.C. on Thursday.

During this event, the return of an artwork belonging to Peru's cultural heritage took place.

The artwork, titled "Diptych of Saint Joseph, the Infant Jesus, and Saint Christopher," dates from the 17th century and was recovered by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Regarding the fight against transnational crime, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), together with Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) and the Peruvian Government, organized the graduation ceremony of 16 Peruvian National Police officers, members of the new Transnational Criminal Investigation Unit (TCIU), which is officially established in Peru.

Moreover, Peru has recently joined as a member of the Blue Dot Network, a multilateral initiative aimed at promoting strong standards for global infrastructure and mobilizing investments for projects in developing countries.

This network provides internationally recognized certification for high-quality infrastructure projects that are environmentally and socially sustainable, resilient, open, and transparent, in addition to economically efficient.
