Peru's Health Minister Victor Zamora on Wednesday morning witnessed the departure of a new group of health professionals to various cities belonging to
Loreto region.
The experts will join the fight against the coronavirus pandemic in said region.
This group is composed of 47 members whose final destinations are Yurimaguas (26), Caballococha (9) and Requena (12).
These healthcare workers were trained in medicine, biology, nursing, and obstetrics.
"Our commitment is to join forces, enhance health systems in priority areas, as well as protect citizens and health heroes across the country. Let's unite in this tough battle," the
Health Ministry (Minsa) posted on Twitter.
