The updated preliminary report following the
indicates that three people with minor injuries received medical attention.
A total of 33 homes were reported affected in Parinacochas province: 12 in Pullo, 7 in Coracora, 3 in Chumpi, and 2 in Upahuacho.
Additionally, 8 homes were reported affected in Puquio district and one in Leoncio Prado, Lucanas province.
Furthermore, 3 homes were also deemed uninhabitable, while 1 was destroyed.
The damage was reported by the Ayacucho Region Government through the Regional Emergency Operations Center (COER).
Regarding public infrastructure, 3 educational institutions were reported affected, while 6 healthcare facilities sustained damage: 3 in Puquio and 3 in Coracora.
However, these figures are preliminary, as municipal authorities continue to conduct the Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (EDAN).
The technical secretaries of Civil Defense in Lucanas and Parinacochas provinces are maintaining constant monitoring in their respective jurisdictions.
Meanwhile, teams from the Regional Directorate for Disaster Risk Management, Security, and Defense were deployed to the affected areas to strengthen response efforts.
The COER remains in communication with authorities in the districts and provinces near the epicenter, including areas of Parinacochas, Lucanas, and Paucar del Sara Sara, where no health-related damage has been reported so far.
The Ayacucho Region Government will continue to monitor the emergency, as well as coordinate the delivery of humanitarian aid supplies to affected families.
Additionally, the Ministry of Education's (Minedu) Sectoral Emergency Operations Center reported damage to 9 schools in Ayacucho and 2 in Apurimac.
In response, preventive isolation of the affected facilities was ordered, along with the implementation of the Education Sector Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (EDANSE) and coordination of measures to ensure the continuity of educational services in safe spaces.
Likewise, the Health Ministry's Emergency Operations Center (COES) reported that the three people who sustained injuries were treated at Coracora Support Hospital.
Damage was also reported at 10 Health Services Providing Institutions (IPRESS) in Ayacucho and two in Cusco.
However, healthcare services remain operational.
Moreover, 6 facilities belonging to the Ayacucho Health Network sustained damage.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Energy and Mines' (Minem) Emergency Operations Center (COES) activated its contingency plan following an interruption in electricity service that affected 6,023 users in Nasca province, Ica region, and 2,990 users in the Puquio district, Lucanas province, Ayacucho region.
The National Civil Defense Institute (Indeci), through the National Emergency Operations Center (COEN), continues coordinating with regional and local authorities, monitoring the situation, and urging them to keep Emergency Operations Centers (COEs) active.
