Over 510,000 AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines land in Peru

A new batch of 511,200 vaccine doses against COVID-19 from the AstraZeneca laboratory arrived in Peru on Saturday afternoon.

This delivery comes as part of the agreement signed by the Republic of Peru and the COVAX Facility mechanism.

Health Minister Oscar Ugarte supervised the arrival of this cargo at Lima's Jorge Chavez International Airport.

The doses will allow the vaccination of older adults and citizens suffering from prioritized comorbidities 
to continue in various regions of the country.
