Economy and Finance Minister Alex Contreras on Wednesday stressed that international investors participating at PDAC 2023 —held in the city of Toronto, Canada— reiterated their interest in investing in Peru.
"International investors reaffirmed their interest in Peru. Investing in Peru means investing in the future," the Cabinet member wrote on social media.
According to the government official, the Peruvian delegation also met with executives from mining companies like Antamina and HP, who revealed the situation of the main projects developed in Peru, as well as their projections.
Finally, Contreras repeated part of his speech delivered at the CEO Luncheon held at PDAC 2023, in which he invited investors to invest in Peru.
PDAC 2023 convention
This annual convention, which began in 1932, is known for attracting up to 30,000 attendees from about 130 countries for its topical agenda, networking events, business opportunities, and spaces for fraternity.
According to organizers, PDAC is the event of choice for the world's mineral industry hosting more than 1,100 exhibitors and 2,500 investors.
