FA Min meets with U.S. National Security Council Senior Director for Western Hemisphere

Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Ana Cecilia Gervasi held a meeting with National Security Council Senior Director for the Western Hemisphere, Juan Gonzalez, to discuss the political and economic situation in Peru and the region.

Director Gonzalez renewed the White House's support for the Peruvian Government, highlighting the close relationship that unites both countries, and calling for the promotion of new cooperation spaces.

At the meeting, Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for the Western Hemisphere Daniel Watson highlighted the interest of Peru and the U.S. to consolidate their strong trade ties —within the framework of integration and cooperation mechanisms such as the Americas Partnership for Economic Prosperity (APEP) and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Forum.

The event took place in Washington D.C. on Tuesday.

As is known, Minister Gervasi is

on an official trip to the United States from January 30 to February 2.
