U.S. tourist Brittini Nicole Harper, 33, who had been reported missing in Cusco by her father, Mark Richard Harper, 60, is not in the city or even in the country, Cusco Tourism Police Station confirmed on Wednesday afternoon.
Avianca informed the police unit, following a request made by the station as part of the investigation into the foreign citizen's whereabouts, that Brittini Nicole left Peru on July 31 last year for Cancun, Mexico.

"According to the procedures carried out by Tourism Police, we received a response from Avianca confirming that the tourist traveled on July 31, 2025, from Lima airport to Cancun, with a stopover in Bogota, Colombia," Cusco Tourism Police Chief, PNP Commander Ricardina Diaz, told Andina News Agency.
This recent report is reinforced by information from the National Superintendence of Migrations' Cusco Office.
"The Migrations Office report also confirms that she left Cusco on July 31, 2025," Diaz emphasized.
The office stated that it has been in contact with the foreign citizen's father to provide details about the work carried out by the Peruvian National Police since May 21, when he arrived distressed to request support in the search.
Mark Richard recalled that Brittini Nicole arrived in Cusco as a tourist on May 19, 2025, and was set to return to her country via Colombia on July 31 of that same year.
She attempted to board the airline's plane, but was reportedly unable to do so because her pet apparently lacked a rabies vaccination.
During the two months she spent in Cusco, the foreign citizen reportedly stayed at an Airbnb in the city of Urubamba and decided to return home after no longer feeling safe.
The father also said he last communicated with her in February 2026 and has not heard from her since then.
Since filing the report, Mark Richard has been searching for her carrying photographs and an electronic device that helps him translate into Spanish.
