"This alliance, welcomed by the Government, will enable the awarding of over 5,000 scholarships in digital marketing courses and innovative training programs to Peruvians. Besides, unlimited access to LinkedIn courses will be available to enhance their employability," she indicated.
During the launch ceremony, the top official stated that one of the
Government's priorities is to provide high-quality education with the aim of turning the dreams of millions of Peruvian girls and boys into reality.
Therefore, she said the partnership between the
Foreign Affairs Ministry and Microsoft was particularly gratifying, within the framework of the
APEC for the People initiative,
which will enable the delivery of over 5,000 scholarships to Peruvians.
"These public-private initiatives contribute to creating opportunities and closing inequality gaps," Mrs. Boluarte noted.
"Programs like this motivate youth to strive for a better future. I thank Microsoft for their interest in Peru and for collaborating with the Government to provide Peruvians with the opportunity to enhance their digital skills, improve their professional level, and transform their lives," she added.
"For the third time in history, Peru is hosting the APEC Forum, a clear proof of international confidence in this country. This year, Peru will shine brightly on its own merits. We are a reliable economy in the world; we have clear rules, and we welcome with optimism investments that generate employment," she pointed out.
Mrs. Boluarte indicated that from the APEC Presidency, Peru promotes innovation and digitalization as a fundamental tool to foster a transition to the formal and global economy, as well as sustainable and inclusive empowerment.
Foreign Affairs Minister Javier Gonzalez-Olaechea; United States Ambassador to Peru, Stephanie Syptak-Ramnath; Microsoft representatives; and APEC 2024 senior officials also participated in this ceremony.
This event took place at Torre Tagle Palace in the Peruvian capital, Lima.
