11:44 | Chuquibambilla (Apurimac region), Nov. 10.
Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra announced the
launch of various works to promote the development of Apurimac region, such as a modern hospital and a two-way road connecting Abancay, Chuquibambilla, El Progreso, and Challhuahuacho towns.
His remarks were made on Saturday as he opened a land terminal in Chuquibambilla district of Grau province (Apurimac region).
During the delivery of the Ground Trade Articulation Center, in the presence of local authorities and residents, the President regretted that —shortly before the commemoration of the Bicentennial of Independence— there are still villages in remote areas without good roads,
schools and hospitals.
"Together we are going to change the history of Peru. Let's make the beginning of the third century of our republican life a basis of
development for all Peruvians, and that means meeting important demands that have been left behind for decades," he said.
To that end, he asked the Regional Government to make progress on the corresponding technical file, so that this project becomes a reality.
