on Wednesday affirmed that his administration will work urgently, without improvisation, to ensure the implementation of adequate measures for the benefit of Peru.
During a press conference, the Head of State commented that he had encountered a very complex and difficult situation in the country —when he took office— due to the recent political crisis exacerbated by the
COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the top official, this had a very strong impact on public administration.
Likewise, the Peruvian leader said his administration will be conducted with a sense of urgency, but without falling into any type of improvisation.
"Urgent things must be done calmly. Otherwise, we could make a big mistake. We will work urgently, without improvisation or doing things on the run," he assured reporters.
Moreover, the President asserted that he leads a government characterized by a vocation for service.
The President of the Republic Francisco Sagasti led a press conference on Wednesday, thus marking his first month leading the Transitional and Emergency Government in Peru.
His term in office is expected to end on July 28, 2021.
