Peru's National Superintendence of Migrations put into effect the entry ban on key members of Venezuelan Nicolas Maduro's administration, including their relatives.

A total of 93 people have been forbidden from entering the Inca country upon request of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, sources confirmed to Andina news agency.

The list is led by Nicolas Maduro, followed by State ministers, governors, high-ranking officials, judges, and business people linked to his administration, as well as their relatives.

Last Monday, Foreign Affairs Minister Nestor Popolizio indicated said action is part of the measures adopted by Lima Group members in order to put international pressure condemning the democratic and humanitarian crisis existing in the Bolivarian nation.

"We will deliver this information to institutions capable of controlling bank transfers from this group linked to key members. We want to put direct pressure on Maduro's regime," the cabinet member told RPP TV and radio station.

On the other hand, the minister ruled out Lima Group's declaration —concerning the illegitimacy of Maduro's new government— would affect Venezuelan migrants in Peru.

In the last two years, the Inca nation has welcomed some 650,000 Venezuelan citizens given the neighboring country's political and humanitarian crisis.
