'Oscar of Tourism' recognizes Machu Picchu as World's Leading Tourist AttractionThe Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu adds another award, recognizing it as one of the planet's leading tourist attractions. The World Travel Awards recently granted the Inca monument the title of World's Leading Tourist Attraction 2025. Machu Picchu —declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983— is also one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, a distinction it received in 2007.00:15
