Foreign Affairs Minister Oscar Maurtua has reiterated the Peruvian Government's commitment to continue strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with the Chinese Government in order to foster sustainable development in both countries.

Ambassador Maurtua extended the greeting of the Peruvian Government in commemoration of the 72nd Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China —which is observed on October 1— and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Peru —which will be celebrated soon.

"I reaffirm the strong commitment of the Peruvian Government to continue strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with China in all areas, particularly in the post-pandemic economic recovery, with a view to achieving well-being and sustainable development of our peoples," he expressed.

The government official also stressed the importance of the Asian Giant in the fight against COVID-19, as China is one of the largest vaccine producers in the world.

In addition, the Cabinet member highlighted the significant donations made by the Chinese Government to Peru, which have strengthened the health system and protected citizens.
