Peruvian, U.S. Presidents meet in New York

The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte held a meeting with her U.S. counterpart Joe Biden on Wednesday, within the framework of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) held in New York City.

According to information shared by the Presidency of the Republic via social media, the meeting addressed issues related to the cooperation between the two countries, as well as the support that Peru receives from the United States.

Likewise, the government agency reported that Mrs. Boluarte invited the President of the United States to visit Peru soon.

It should be pointed out that the Peruvian Head of State is on the third day of her working visit to the U.S. city, where she has participated in bilateral and multilateral meetings.

Other activities

The Peruvian dignitary is expected to participate in a series of activities throughout the remainder of the day.

For example, at 5:00 p.m. (local time), she will hold a meeting with the Vice President of the People's Republic of China, Han Zheng.

Later, at 6:35 p.m., the top official will hold an audience with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

Finally, at 7:40 p.m., the Peruvian President will attend the 2023 Pacific Alliance Investment Forum.
