Peruvian web series ¡Aj, Zombis! (Yuck! Zombies) has already racked up over a million and a half views on YouTube in its first season.
Using black humor and satire, the series follows life passages of Lima’s inhabitants who see their city infested by zombies, but do not realize the extent of the invasion.
Streamed online on La Pepa’s YouTube channel, the program has drawn thousands of fans from 153 countries, mostly youths.
It should be noted that ¡Aj, Zombis! reached 222,000 views in Mexico, 70,000 in Colombia, 62,000 in Argentina, 37,000 in Ecuador and 21,000 in U.S., among other countries.
The episodes were developed by different scriptwriters in order to create a broader vision of a zombie-infested city.
Starred by Anahí de Cárdenas and Emilram Cossío, the online story also brings together more than 32 talented artists including, among others, Ricky Tosso, Flor Castillo, Mayella Llocya, Christian Esquivel, Sebastián Monteghirfo, Cindy Díaz, Karina Jordán, Mox and Sergio Paris.
The popular program, directed by Daniel Martín Rodríguez, will stream again since October.
