Russia's President highlights shared vision with Peru in fight against drugs and crime

Russian President Vladimir Putin highlighted his country's shared vision with Peru in the fight against terrorism, drug trafficking, and organized crime.

In addition, the Russian leader noted that his country maintains partnership ties with Peru.

"We maintain partnership relations with the Republic of Peru. We work together at the UN and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum. We stand in solidarity on important international issues such as countering terrorism, drug trafficking, and organized crime," he remarked.

Moreover, Russia's top official expressed his hope that Peru will successfully overcome its current political moment in compliance with the Constitution and law.

"We sincerely hope that the leadership and citizens of Peru will successfully overcome the current internal political differences acting within the framework of the Constitution and law," he said. 

Putin's remarks were made during a ceremony in which he received the credential letters from 20 new Ambassadors to the Russian Federation.


The ceremony took place in the Alexander Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace.
