President Vizcarra: Peru-Bolivia Binational Cabinet to strengthen bilateral relations

President Martin Vizcarra on Tuesday affirmed the Presidential Meeting and 5th Peru-Bolivia Binational Cabinet will strengthen the bilateral relations.

Before welcoming his Bolivian counterpart Evo Morales to the port city of Ilo, the Head of State indicated this bilateral gathering represents a sign of brotherhood and friendship ties between the two nations, which will materialize through the efforts of both Governments. 

"Expectations are always high because we are neighbors, friends, and fraternal countries, which share the same vision to achieve the best benefits for the population. We want to improve citizens' quality of live, and that depends on authorities," he expressed. 

Arrival 

The Inca country's top official arrived in Ilo (Moquegua region) on Tuesday morning, joined by his Ministerial Cabinet. 

In this sense, the Presidential Meeting and 5th Peru-Bolivia Binational Cabinet inauguration ceremony took place at 10:00 AM. 

Afterwards, accords and the Joint Presidential Declaration will be signed. 

It must be noted Binational Cabinets constitute a mechanism for political dialogue between two nations with the purpose of working on specific issues of common concern included in the bilateral agenda.
