Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Tuesday participated in the natural gas distribution ceremony held in Callao region's Mi Peru district.
This
initiative will benefit some 29,000 families —from Mi Peru and Ventanilla districts— by extending the distribution system networks.
Joined by Energy and Mines Minister Francisco Ismodes, the Head of State arrived at citizen Jhon Martinez's house on this occasion.
Quality of life
Within this framework, the Peruvian Government has made progress on its goal to widen the
use of natural gas.
This fuel improves the lives of over 3 million Peruvians, as it boosts savings and safety. In addition, it has a lower impact on the environment.
"This is part of the sector's social inclusion policy. That is why more than 95% of Mi Peru's population, approximately 8,000 families, will benefit from the Energy Social Inclusion Fund (FISE) discount granted by the State through the Gas Bond Program," Minister Ismodes expressed.
It also aims to reach 16 million people, meaning 50% of the population, by 2030.
