President Martin Vizcarra on Friday affirmed that investment is recovering in Peru despite the new coronavirus pandemic, adding that public investment registered positive figures in September, after several months.

"We know how hard the pandemic has been on us. Nonetheless, investment is picking up," he said.

From Piura, the Head of State emphasized that the budget execution goals set by each ministry will be met within the established deadlines.

The statesman reported that on November 12 he will hold a meeting with governors and mayors to address such issues.

Moreover, Mr. Vizcarra noted that his administration wants public and private investment projects to lead to better results in the last quarter of the year.

President Vizcarra supervised the works on Grau Bridge —an infrastructure of modern design that ensures vehicular traffic, as well as the transportation of agricultural products to markets, even during the rainy season.
