President of Peru meets with Holy See's Secretary of State

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Wednesday met with the Holy See's Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin.

According to the official Twitter account of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting addressed relations between Peru and the Vatican.

Moreover, they discussed details of the visit of President Pedro Castillo to Pope Francis I scheduled for October.

After the meeting, the Peruvian Head of State will participate in the ceremony to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the speech of former Chilean President Salvador Allende at the United Nations General Assembly.

This way, the President of the Republic will complete his official activities in the United States of America and return to the Peruvian capital, Lima.

The Peruvian Head of State has been on an official visit to the United States since September 18. He arrived in New York City to participate in the 77th session of the UN General Assembly.

The official delegation is also made up of Ministers Cesar Landa (Foreign Affairs), Kurt Burneo (Economy-Finance), Roberto Sanchez (Foreign Trade-Tourism), and Rosendo Serna (Education).
