Peru’s President Alan Garcia predicts an investment explosion for 2010 in Peru, especially in the construction sector, he said in response to negative forecasts of some visitors who do not know about the current situation of the country.

Unlike other countries, he said, Peru has not experienced bank failures or loss of savings, the value of money has not depreciated, and the few jobs lost in mining has been largely offset by creating more jobs.

On the contrary, despite the crisis, new factories continue to open, and all figures indicate that Peru will resume its normal growth rate next year.

"In 2010, Peru will witness an investment explosion, especially in the construction sector, I guarantee it," he added.

For that reason, I disprove those allegations made by momentary visitors, who stay a few "hours" in Peru, “proceed to comment on the country’s situation without knowing it, and then repeat the same in every country they go".
